We are seeking an innovative, and entrepreneurial Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team.
This pivotal role will lead the development of Responsible Energy's financial strategy, systems, and culture, ensuring our rapid growth aligns with public company requirements and sustainability goals.Reporting directly to the Founder/CEO, the CFO will play a key role in shaping the company's future, leading capital strategies, scaling financial operations, and creating an inclusive environment where innovation thrives.This is a rare opportunity to drive meaningful change in an early-stage, mission-driven organization while benefiting from a success-based compensation structure tied to clearly defined growth milestones.Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial LeadershipDesign and implement scalable financial systems and strategies aligned with public company standards and Responsible Energy's values.Partner with the CEO to develop short- and long-term growth plans, ensuring financial stability and strategic alignment.Establish robust internal controls and audit-ready processes to maintain financial transparency and integrity.2.
Compliance & GovernanceEnsure adherence to TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV) regulations, IFRS standards, and corporate governance best practices.Lead financial reporting and disclosures in collaboration with auditors and legal counsel.Maintain Responsible Energy's reputation for transparency, accountability, and ethical business practices.3.
Inclusive Leadership & Team BuildingBuild and nurture a diverse finance team that reflects the communities we serve.Foster a culture of inclusivity, equity, and collaboration, ensuring all voices are heard and valued.Mentor and develop team members, creating opportunities for growth and success.4.
Public Market & Investor RelationsLeverage expertise in TSXV and Capital Pool Company (CPC) transactions to prepare the company for public market opportunities.Lead investor relations efforts, crafting compelling narratives that highlight Responsible Energy's mission and impact.Represent the company in stakeholder engagements, showcasing Responsible Energy's financial strength and future potential.5.
Mission-Driven Growth InitiativesAlign financial strategies with Responsible Energy's commitment to sustainability and innovation.Support capital-raising activities that enable Responsible Energy to scale operations and achieve its mission.Drive financial insights to guide decision-making, ensuring the organization's long-term viability and impact.6.
Organizational Growth & InnovationCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial operations support Responsible Energy's mission and values.Champion innovative approaches to resource allocation, cost optimization, and impact measurement.Stay ahead of industry trends, introducing tools and technologies that enhance financial operations.Qualifications:
Education & CertificationsCPA, CA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent advanced degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.ExperienceProven success as a CFO or senior finance leader in high-growth or early-stage organizations.In-depth knowledge of TSXV regulations, CPC transactions, and public company standards.Expertise in IFRS, financial reporting, and corporate governance.Track record of building and leading diverse, results-driven teams.SkillsStrategic thinker with a commitment to inclusive decision-making.Exceptional financial modeling, forecasting, and problem-solving abilities.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders from all backgrounds.Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to adapt and innovate in dynamic environments.Compensation:
