What We Are Looking For:

An experienced Lead Installation Technician in the home automation/smart home industry.

We are looking to add an experienced Senior Installer to our team at Graytek. We are looking for a someone that is wanting to work in a collaborative work environment. Someone with an eye for quality installation in the high end of custom homes. Someone who enjoys high end networks, audio and automation systems. Someone who enjoys learning new technology and the ever growing and changing industry of home automation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of a Senior Installation Technician at Graytek include the following:

• Installing, Configuring and Deploying Networks including:

o Network setup, administration and maintenance

o VLAN setup

o Advanced WIFI site survey, configuration and optimization

o VPN and advanced security implementation

o Managing firmware versions and controller versions for the Unifi platform

o Setup, configuration, and management of system management tools

• Setup, configuration and programming of Audio, Video, Control, Security, power management and Smart Home Automation products
• Installation of shading solutions
• Equipment rack building/wiring/installation/configuration and set up of equipment
• Represent Graytek on the job site and maintain good relationship with the customer and other trades
• Enjoy working in a team environment to complete complex and detailed projects.
• Maintaining documentation and procedures following group standards and policies. Adapting to changes within the organization

• Base salary (range: $35-$42/hour dependent on skillset and experience)

Background and Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Degree (DEC)/College diploma in a technology discipline and/or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Strong experience in IT and Networking and Education and Training - the following certifications would catch our attention:

o Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP)

o Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA)

o CompTIA Network+

o CompTIA A+

o Wireshark Certified Network Analyst (WCNA)

o Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE)

• FSR-C-LO/FSR-C-SA preferred
• Security Systems TQ and Security Workers License preferred
• Experience with Lutron and Crestron Lighting/Shading systems preferred
• Experience with Crestron Home, Crestron and Control4 preferred
• Experience with DSC and ELK alarm systems preferred
• Experience with Ubiquiti Networks preferred
• Experience with OvRC preferred
• 3 -5 years of experience in low voltage specializing in home automation required
• Experience in Residential Construction
• Experience with Alarm Systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
