We currently are seeking an Office/Health and Safety Coordinator (full-time) with a passion for helping others in any way they can.

As the saying goes, many hands make light work!What does a typical day look like for a Health an Safety/ Office Coordinator?Working in our Calgary office, you will be working closely with our engineering team to coordinate office management and provide central support for our Alberta and national Health and Safety program.
This can include activities such as providing administrative services to the Calgary and Edmonton engineering team (such as preparation of letters, proposals, documents, reports and spreadsheets), tracking and maintaining corporate health and safety records, maintenance and improvement of our existing COR certified Health and Safety program, Health and Safety/COR audits (training will be provided), orientation and training for new staff, leading monthly national Health and Safety staff meetings as well as monthly national Health and Safety committee meetings, maintaining stock of IT and business/office/safety supplies, coordinating internal communications, assist with travel bookings, and other administrative tasks as required.
Previous certifications in health and safety are an asset, but not required.
We will provide training in Health and Safety so you can grow with us.National Health and Safety Duties:
Risk Assessment & Safety Audits:
Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.Policy Implementation:
Develop, update, and enforce health and safety policies and procedures.Training & Awareness:
Organize and deliver health and safety training sessions for staff and management.Incident Reporting & Investigation:
Track and investigate any workplace incidents and near misses, providing recommendations for corrective actions.Safety Equipment & Supplies:
Ensure safety equipment (PPE, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, etc.) is properly maintained and available.Compliance Monitoring:
Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal health and safety legislation.Emergency Procedures:
Develop and maintain emergency evacuation plans and ensure staff are trained and prepared for emergencies.Continual Improvement:
Lead continual improvement of the program, maintain COR certification and regular auditing of the program and compliance.Office Administration Duties:
General Office Support:
Provide administrative support including answering phones, scheduling meetings, and managing office supplies.Document Management:
Assist in managing files, maintaining office records, ensuring the organization of documents, and archiving of documents both digitally and physically.Vendor Liaison:
Manage relationships with office suppliers and vendors, ensuring timely orders and deliveries of office supplies and equipment.Data Entry & Reporting:
Perform data entry tasks, prepare reports, and maintain databases.Communication Coordination:
Act as a point of contact for staff, visitors, and external parties, ensuring efficient communication across the office.Event Coordination:
Assist in organizing office events, meetings, and training sessions, including bookings, catering, and materials preparation.Travel Bookings:
Assist with travel bookings as required.Other duties as required.What do we need from you?Our best fit for this role would be an individual who has excellent communication skills and is able to take initiative independently.

Additional skills and experience we are seeking:
Two-year college diploma an asset.Three years' work experience in a similar position.Excellent experience, knowledge and use of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Microsoft Teams.A passion for learning and developing Health and Safety skills.Valid driver's license How to apply:
