The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development is seeking an individual for the Education Services - Anglophone Division as Director for the Office of First Nations Education in Fredericton.

You have a deep understanding of Wabanaki people, the relationship with the government and historical, cultural, and contemporary realities. You understand the history of colonization in Canada; reconciliatory practices and Indigenous concepts that reflect the diversity in New Brunswick. You are culturally competent and believe in the principle of unity in diversity. You are a strong supporter of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action. You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to problem-solve creatively and to think on your feet. You are flexible and can respond to changing needs in a fast-paced environment, responding to changeable client needs. You treat people in a polite and professional manner, always showing kindness. You understand the interconnectedness of the skills of all team members for delivering the best possible product and are open to incorporating the knowledge and experience of others into your work.
What you will do:
Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister of Education Services Division (Anglophone), the successful candidate will be responsible for advising senior management on the direction for programs and services impacting First Nations students in the New Brunswick Education System, Anglophone sector.

Pay Band 8: $108,030 ¿ $121,680 annually.
