Website/SEO Specialist

ROLE PURPOSE:

The purpose of the SEO Specialist is to execute SEO strategies on client accounts in order to improve the traffic and leads to their business. The SEO Specialist is responsible for optimization of our clients' web properties, finding ranking in major search engines, ensuring implementation of SEO content across all channels, recommending strategies and best practices, identifying trends and opportunities to increase traffic, Find and implement site improvements, conducting monthly reports and managing SEO-related responsibilities

ROLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide SEO analysis and recommendations for site structure
  • Perform keyword research in coordination with client's business objectives
  • Analyze and recommend content strategies, as well as produce written content for soulpepper and their clients.
  • Understand and optimize GMB Google Business profiles and follow best practices
  • Expert in Google Analytics and Tag Manager, able to implement tracking and provide detailed reporting
  • Able to identify trends and issues by looking at data and reporting and implement fixes
  • Be an expert in WordPress, able to identify and solve issues related to a clients website.
  • Expert in SEM rush
  • Present recommendations and execute strategies for content development in coordination with SEO goals, both general and keyword specific
  • Work closely with clients and agency content teams to ensure successful SEO content is implemented
  • Manage freelancers (link builders, copywriters, etc)
  • Perform full technical site audits and help execute recommendations in conjunction with internal and/or external development teams
  • Identify and implement SEO best practices for website performance including page load speed improvements, sitemap XML creation/submission, products feeds
  • Optimize content, meta data, schema, images, URL's and internal linking.
  • Monitor and evaluate search results and search performance across the major search channels in order to improve rankings
  • Monitor and evaluate web analytics dashboards and reports to assess and recommend SEO strategies
  • Deliver all work to the client's account manager in a timely manner and effectively communicate any opportunities or issues with the Account Services team.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in digital marketing or a related field
  • Proficiency in SEO tools like SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and Google Search Console.
  • Expertise in WordPress with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize websites.
  • Strong knowledge of technical SEO, including schema, metadata, and internal linking.
  • Advanced skills in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
  • Proven ability to identify trends from data and translate them into actionable solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working collaboratively with clients and content teams
  • At least 3 years in an SEO or digital marketing role
  • Strong content-writing ability
  • Experience with keyword research (specifically using Google Keyword Planner)
  • Experience with onsite SEO optimization of websites
  • Familiarity with both content based and technical search engine optimization
  • Ability to coordinate multiple deadline-driven tasks, detail-oriented and organized
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Extreme attention to detail and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and related web languages
  • Basic web development knowledge (hosting, domains, FTP and databases)
  • Backlink research and purchasing experience
  • Internal linking schemes development experience
  • Website traffic and behavior data analysis skills
