We're looking for a Grant Manager with strong fundraising experience to support multiple diverse partner portfolios through the grant-writing journey.
In this role, you'll have the unique opportunity to work with charities and nonprofits across Canada, spanning all sectors, as you balance customer service excellence with the strategic development of impactful grant applications.

What You'll Do

As a Grant Manager at Grantsimple, you'll serve as the critical bridge between partners, internal team members, and the grant-writing process.
Your primary responsibility will be to help develop grant strategies and ensure that our partners' grant applications and related deliverables are managed and executed on time and with the highest level of service and quality.

This role starts off as a hybrid-role, meaning you'll gain hands-on experience in all areas of our service delivery process-grant writing, grant management, and customer service-so you can understand how each part of the business works together to deliver exceptional results for our partners.
This is part of your training.

Once our portfolio grows, you'll transition to focus primarily on grant management, taking ownership of partner relationships, timelines, and deliverables, while continuing to write grant applications as needed to ensure consistency and quality across all aspects of our work.

The main function of this role is communication-both internally and externally-so you'll need to excel at building relationships, sharing updates, and ensuring clarity at every stage of the process.
Internally, you'll collaborate closely with team members to align on strategy, timelines, and priorities.
Externally, you'll act as a trusted advisor to partners, keeping them informed, addressing their needs, and ensuring they feel supported throughout the grant process.
Clear, thoughtful, and proactive communication (and time management) will be essential to success in this role.

What we're looking for:

• Legally eligible to work in Canada and aligns with our people-first culture and core values.
  
• Proven ability to build strong, trust-based relationships in fast-paced, high-energy, and deadline-driven environments.
  
• 3+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, major gifts, mid-level giving,
• Experience with grant writing and/or grant writing process
• 3+ years of experience in project management, with a demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities, manage timelines, and deliver exceptional results.
  
• Strong tech skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, GSuite, etc
• Experience with data analysis and/or managing budgets is considered a bonus.
  
• Fundamental understanding of nonprofit operations and fundraising principles.
  
• A track record of staying organized, managing time effectively, and excelling at multitasking.
  
• Maintains composure and steadiness in high-stress situations, focusing on solutions and delivering results with confidence.
