This role serves as a key advisor to the executive leadership team on emerging risks and acts as the spokesperson for MRU on all related matters.ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership and Planning:
Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan covering campus safety, risk management, employee wellness, and business continuity.Safety and Security Services:
Oversee the campus security team and risk management program, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.Employee Wellness and Disability Management:
Champion wellness programs and oversee disability claims.Continuity and Emergency Response/Crisis Management:
Ensure the development of emergency preparedness and recovery policies.Budget Management and Policy Development:
Manage departmental budgets and create policies enhancing safety and well-being on campus.QualificationsMaster's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in safety, risk management, or related fields.Proven leadership and strategic planning experience.Strong knowledge of health, safety, and risk management legislation.Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.Certifications such as CRSP, CSP, ARM, or CHSO are an asset.What We OfferWe strive to be an employer of choice among Canadian post-secondary institutions, offering a competitive total compensation package including health and dental benefits, pension, and a free membership in our recreation centre.Our campus provides wellness services and activities for employees.Salary:
