Hospital details - Penticton Regional Hospital:

The Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) is a 158-bed Acute Care facility in the Okanagan Health Service Area and is responsible for providing core medical and surgical specialty services to a surrounding population of approximately 90,000 people.
PRH offers 24-hour Emergency and Trauma Services, Acute Services, Ambulatory and Out-patient Clinics, and Diagnostic/Paramedical Services.
As a regional facility and secondary referral centre for the South Okanagan and Similkameen Valley, you will be joining an excellent complement of medical and surgical specialists. Excellent radiology availability with on-site Computed Tomography (CT) and part-time Medical Resonance Imaging (MRI). PRH has a seven-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
PRH also serves as the referral base for the smaller local hospitals in Oliver and Princeton.
In April 2019, PRH opened phase one of the David E. Kampe Tower (DKT), a new, state-of-the-art Patient Care Tower, which includes a brand new ambulatory care centre, surgical services center, Emergency room, Operating Room, 84 medical/surgical inpatient beds in single patient rooms, a new medical device reprocessing unit, and space for the UBC Faculty of Medicine Program. Phase two is underway and involves renovation of extensive sections of the old hospital, including the Children and Maternity Ward.
Practice Details:

The Medical Imaging Department at Penticton Regional Hospital is seeking a full-time Diagnostic Radiologist to join our team consisting of 8 other radiologists in a hospital-based practice. Our department provides CT, MRI, basic image guided Procedures, Ultrasound, Digital Mammography including Stereotactic Biopsy, Bone Mineral Density, and General X-Ray and Fluoroscopy services. We are equipped with 2 full-time CT Scanners, full-time fixed 1.5T MRI and SPECT-CT (currently run by the KGH nuclear medicine dept).
We welcome locum interest for qualified applicants during the recruitment phase. Home reporting options available for outpatient work and evening/weekend on-call reporting.
Emergency CT cases performed after 10pm are covered by an outside call service.
