About the Job:

As a diesel mechanic at Penske, you'll diagnose, overhaul, adjust, and repair all series of motor truck and trailer equipment. You'll work with our industry-leading trucks, technology, and tools to deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision. Other exciting projects and tasks may be assigned by your supervisor.

$42.00-$46.00 per hour, plus shift premiums of $3-$5 per hour for 2nd and 3rd shifts, and $3 per hour for weekend shifts.

Responsibilities:

Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services:
Regularly inspect and maintain equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair order:
Quickly and accurately diagnose problems and document repairs for future reference.
Maintain work area appearance and safety:
Ensure your workspace is clean, organized, and safe for yourself and others.
Road test vehicles when necessary:
Take vehicles out for a spin to diagnose malfunctions or ensure they're working properly.
Perform duties with minimal supervision:
Work independently with minimal supervision to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications:

5+ years of practical experience with tractor-trailer maintenance:
Bring your expertise to the table and help us deliver exceptional results.
Provincial License (Red Seal/310T):
Ensure you have the necessary certifications to perform your job duties.
Current driver's license class D or class 3 with air brake certification:
Get behind the wheel and drive our equipment with confidence.
Basic computer skills:
Familiarize yourself with our technology and software to streamline your workflow.
Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions:
Be prepared to work in a variety of environments.
