Director of Outreach and Camp at First Baptist Church, Lloydminster

Position Details - FBC is seeking a Director of Outreach to join the church ministry team, be accountable to the elders board through the lead pastor and report directly to the lead pastor or one designated. Preference will be given to candidates with a heart and passion to connect with the unchurched in the surrounding community, including a heart and vision for running a Christian camp program. Relevant educational training and/or experience will be considered an asset. The Director of Outreach will be responsible for the development and oversight of both FBC outreach initiatives as well as the PBC summer camp program, with a focus on recruitment, leadership training, and development.

First Baptist Church, Lloydminster (FBC) is currently accepting applications for the position of Director of Outreach. Supervision:
This position involves the supervision and evaluation of volunteers and staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Conduct oneself in a manner appropriate for an individual who represents Christ's Church to the community and to the world.
2. Deal tactfully with fellow staff members, ministry leaders, volunteers, members, adherents, visitors, and the public.
3. Share one's personal testimony and explain the steps to knowing God personally with others.
4. Contribute to the continual improvement of FBC ministries and operations.
5. Develop ministry goals, objectives, and strategies for the ministry year, aligned with the Church Mission & Vision.
6. Develop annual ministry area budgets for both Outreach and Camp in conjunction with the Executive Pastor.

Community Outreach:

1. Coordinate Community outreach/service activities.
2. Oversee Benevolent Ministries.
3. Strive to accomplish the goals established by the Board and the Lead Pastor.
4. Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers to support the ministry.
5. Evaluate, develop, and cast vision for ministry areas aligned with the Church's Mission and Vision.
6. Undergo an annual FBC Staff Performance Review.
7. Assess and revamp ministry strategies to move the church forward to accomplish its Mission.

Camp:

1. Plan the camping programs well in advance of the summer.
2. Recruit and hire staff to operate the camp program.
3. Organize and oversee camp opening and shutdown each spring and fall.
4. Provide leadership training and development for camp staff and the LIT program (Leaders in Training).
5. Oversee camp staff and volunteers throughout the summer camping season.
6. Plan and provide leadership for a variety of initiatives to integrate campers and families into the life and ministries of the church.

Remuneration:
