As a Structural Concrete Superintendent at Argus Properties, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing complex structural concrete construction projects.
Based in Kelowna, BC, this position involves overseeing teams, ensuring project quality, safety, and efficiency, and delivering high-quality results aligned with client expectations and company standards.You will provide technical expertise and leadership, translate project plans into actionable workflows, and foster a culture of safety, innovation, and collaboration.
Your responsibilities will include managing a team of Carpenters while maintaining clear communication with clients, engineers, and project managers.

Provide technical ability and leadership to oversee complex structural concrete projects.Provide guidance to team members by leading safety meetings and inspections.
Drive quality, efficiency, and productivity of crews.
Work with crews to overcome challenges.
Follow project plans and budget while meeting performance goals.
Translate drawings, specifications, and work requirements into a prioritized work plan.
Understand the scope and sequencing of work.
Build a strong functional team through instruction, training, coaching, and team building.
Ensure completed work meets quality standards.
Exceptional ability to multitask in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience with concrete, rebar, and formwork.B.Sc.
in engineering, construction management, or related field (preferred).
Proven expertise in managing suspended slab projects, including columns, other load bearing concrete structures, tilt-up panels, and slab-on grade.
Comprehensive knowledge of scaffolding systems used in suspended slab construction.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.Strong understanding of structural engineering principles related to suspended slabs and concrete structures.
Familiarity with formwork systems, rebar detailing, and concrete placement techniques.
proficiency in construction management software and productivity tools.
Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.Experience in team building, training, coaching, and providing clear instructions to crews.
Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, engineers, and project managers.
Advanced understanding of workplace safety regulations and best practices in concrete construction.
Experience conducting safety inspections and leading safety meetings.
Must have a valid drivers license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
Flexibility to work evening shifts and weekends to meet project schedules.
