ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Radiation Technologist to join our team as a General Radiography Supervisor. In this permanent, full-time position, you will work closely with the GenRad Team, the CEO, Medical Director, and the Leadership Team.

Your Key Responsibilities will include:

Performing diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with MedRay departmental protocols and standards, as well as the established standards and practices of the CAMRT, while observing safe radiation protection practices.
Planning, managing, and scheduling staff for X-ray, Mammography, Bone Densitometry and Pain Management, while also providing technical support across various modalities.
Being familiar with day-to-day operations and workflow and assisting with special projects as needed. You will also be capable of performing the following in the GenRad Manager's absence: quality control and continuing education and contributing to the leadership of the clinic.

On the technical side, you have a high level of expertise in X-Ray. Training is available for Mammography, Bone Densitometry and Pain Management. You must be a graduate of a recognized training program with current registration and up-to-date membership with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). Completion of your CBI would also be an asset. Additionally, you are experienced with radiology computer applications, such as PACS and RIS, and are flexible with days and hours of work, as they may change based on operational requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

Advanced computer skills, experience with radiology applications such as PACS and RIS (asset).
High-level understanding of medical imaging systems.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant clinical setting.
Leadership experience in a clinical setting is an asset.
Flexibility with days and hours of work, as they may change based on operational requirements.
Scheduling Experience (asset).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Strong expertise in X-Ray.
Ability to perform Mammography, Bone Densitometry and Pain Management (training available).
Effective communication skills to influence diverse audiences and build trust.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and diplomacy in all interactions.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

EDUCATION AND DESIGNATION

Graduate of a recognized training program with current registration in the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
Completion of CAMRT Breast Imaging I course (minimum).
