One of our Burnaby-based clients is searching for a Marine Electrical Engineer to join their team.
In this role, the right applicant will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing electrical systems on ships, with a focus on AC power systems, control systems, and safety protocols.
Your expertise with ETAP software for power system analysis and Arcflash analysis will be crucial in ensuring the reliability and safety of electrical systems.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Excel will also be key for creating electrical schematics and analyzing system performance.

Responsibilities:
Design, analyze, and optimize AC power systems for ships, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulationsPerform Arcflash analysis to assess electrical system safety and implement necessary protection measuresDevelop and manage control systems for shipboard electrical operations, ensuring efficiency and reliabilityCreate detailed electrical drawings and schematics using AutoCADUse ETAP software to model and analyze electrical power systems, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting potential issuesUtilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, including pivot tables and performance reporting to monitor electrical system performanceQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related fieldStrong experience with AC power systems design and analysis in a marine environmentProficiency in ETAP software for electrical power system modeling and analysisExperience with Arcflash analysis and implementing electrical safety measuresProficiency in AutoCAD for creating and interpreting electrical system schematicsAdvanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables for data analysis and system performance trackingNice to Have:
Experience with control systems for shipboard electrical applicationsEligibility for EIT or P.EngFamiliarity with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental considerations in marine electrical engineeringSalary Range:
