Overview

We are hiring a full-time permanent position to develop communication and promotional material for our data analytics and applications development practices.

Our ideal candidate will enjoy being challenged with multiple tasks and tight deadlines, be passionate about customer service, present themselves professionally, and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

The applicant must be located within the Edmonton region.
Although the work is almost entirely remote, this position must be available for meetings in person or to attend local events.

Responsibilities:

This communications role reports directly to the Managing Director of SilverCreek.
In this position you will be responsible for a variety of activities.

Assist in the writing of client proposals, responses, and presentations
Manage and optimize the company's online presence, including our corporate website, social media platforms, and digital advertising campaigns
Prepare marketing materials and news articles
Attend and promote the company at conferences and corporate events
Write newsletters and announcements for the corporate intranet
Identify and develop opportunities to strengthen the corporate brand through accreditation and recognition
Upload job postings and manage opportunities on job boards (Indeed), social media platforms (LinkedIn) as well as our own corporate website
Help manage and maintain clear records of all marketing materials, resumes, proposals, and projects
Be a positive impact on Silver Creek's corporate community and culture

Qualifications:

A post-secondary diploma, degree or certificate in Business, Communications, or Marketing; candidates with equivalent or transferable experience will also be considered.
Experience with writing articles and/or business documentation such as proposals, training material, resumes, and policies
Strong understanding of marketing and promotion including digital marketing and social media
Proficient with office applications (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook and Excel) and design software (Adobe) is an asset
Knowledge and understanding of data management and application development roles and technologies an asset

Positively contributes to a team with ability to work well independently
