PRIMARY ROLE

The Intermediate Expeditor/Logistics Coordinator is responsible for:

Post PO management and ensuring optimized, accurate and timely flow of materials, equipment and packages in accordance with Tridyne policies and standards, aligned with client requirements.
Ensuring vendors are submitting documentation and records submitted as per PO requirements.
Accurate and timely stakeholder reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY TASKS

Creating and updating the project expediting reports to provide up to date information on material deliverables.
Establishing solid relationships with Suppliers to meet client requirements.
Monitor the status of purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials & equipment from suppliers to meet project schedule requirements.
Identifying, addressing and communicating delivery challenges to the Tridyne and Client project teams upon receipt of delay information from vendors.
Maintain regular communication with suppliers to track order progress, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to delivery schedules.
Work closely with the project managers, project engineers, and other departments to ensure procurement requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
Coordinate all transportation, logistics and inspection requirements as per project plan.
Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
Attend status meetings with clients, project management and suppliers- prepared to discuss material status on all orders.
Work with Tridyne and Client SCM teams to complete timely closeout of orders, invoices, material receipts and subsequent supplier evaluations.
Ensure proper documentation and record keeping and timely flow of information with all stakeholders.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Ensuring the best possible value in conjunction with optimized delivery in expediting activities.
Attending to internal and external expediting requirements in a timely manner.
Ensuring a safety focused approach to project execution in adherence to company and legislated safety standards.
Influencing decisions regarding the procurement of equipment and materials, and related logistics, including supplier and bid evaluation and selection.
Constant and accurate communication with vendors, suppliers, clients, contractors.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Post-Secondary Education / Designation Supplementary Educational Needs:

Certificate or Diploma in Purchasing or Business Administration Program.
Previous formal training and knowledge of Microsoft suite software and Internet applications is a benefit.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

10 years' experience in Expediting and Logistic Coordination roles of increasing scope of responsibility, preferably within the Canadian oil and gas industry.
Proven organizational and time management skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively.
Problem solving and decision-making skills with a customer focused outlook.

KNOWLEDGE BASE REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge of procurement practices and processes within the oil and gas industry.
Understanding of clients' business and related processes to provide appropriate and quality.
Able to provide solutions quickly and efficiently with regard to procurement.
Knowledge of, and ability to comply with, standards and procedures in Tridyne Health & Safety Manual and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
Very strong verbal and written communication skills required.
Strong interpersonal skills.
