NX Homes is seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Site Supervisor to oversee and manage on-site construction activities and property management of company-owned sites and properties.
The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging and supervising trades, ensuring projects are completed as per specifications, and adhering to project timelines.
This role involves a combination of on-site work and office-based responsibilities, including reporting progress, managing documentation, and collaborating with the management and accounts team.Key Responsibilities:
Site Supervision:
Engage, coordinate, and oversee trades and contractors to ensure construction activities are executed as per the approved specifications and quality standards.Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and building codes.Identify and resolve any issues or delays on-site promptly.Project Management:
Create project schedules ahead of time for new and ongoing sites.Ensure projects adhere to established timelines and budgets.Implement strategies to complete projects within the proposed time frame to the best of the effort.Track and report on project progress, ensuring milestones are achieved.Property Management:
Manage and maintain properties owned by NX Homes and associated entities.Oversee property maintenance, repairs, and tenant coordination (if applicable).Documentation and Reporting:
Report daily to the office to update documentation related to project progress, expenses, quotes, and vendor payments.Work closely with the management and accounts team to ensure all financial and administrative records are accurate and up-to-date.Prepare detailed reports on construction activities, timelines, and expenditures.Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination:
Source and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors.Coordinate payment schedules and ensure timely payments to vendors.Build and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders, including trades, suppliers, and internal teams.Health and Safety Compliance:
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations on-site.Conduct regular safety briefings and enforce safety protocols among workers.Qualifications:
Proven experience in construction site supervision or a similar role.Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and best practices.Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and permitting processes.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Proficiency in MS Office.Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.Preferred:
Certification in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.Experience in property management.Work Environment:
Combination of on-site work and office-based responsibilities.Office located in Calgary; daily office presence required for documentation and reporting.Compensation:
