Job Summary:
To direct and participate in the design and development of complex, major engineering product or process projects for release to production in a manner to ensure products provide superior performance, durability, quality, and serviceability.
What you will do:

Lead complex project or program for new product introduction.
Understand customers' needs and product application.
Manage project/program to the plan.
Own the product cost and develop strategies to achieve target costs.
Develop product acceptance criteria including reliability and durability targets.
Communicate technical information and project status to senior management and other stakeholders.
Keep up to date on new technologies or develop new technologies.
Lead competitive benchmarking.
Support and direct other engineers during product development and testing.

What you will have - Skills:
Technical Expertise: Technical Excellence - knowledge of technologies and application methods, developing solutions to technical challenges.
Troubleshooting Technical Problems - knowledge of troubleshooting approaches and resolving technical issues, particularly in manufacturing.
Product Design and Development - knowledge of product features and the full lifecycle of product creation from concept to production.
Product & Service Lifecycle Management: Products and Services - knowledge of product offerings and their application in various contexts.
Requirements Analysis - knowledge of tools and techniques for eliciting, analyzing, and documenting functional and non-functional requirements.
Leadership & Project Execution: Knowledge of project management strategies, planning, execution, and resource management and knowledge of team-building techniques and the ability to form and manage effective teams.
Strategic Influence & Expertise Development: Knowledge of influencing tactics and strategies, using expertise to impact decisions within and outside the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent engineering degree with progressive engineering assignments to gain a mastery of complex system design and concepts.
Holds a valid CREA license.
Pre-Advanced English.
Experience in NPI process.
Knowledge of the design and working of diesel and gas gensets.
Experience leading gas gensets or engine programs.
Expertise on gas genset/engine components design & applications.
Market trends and regulatory requirements knowledge.
Must be a self-starter with strong analytical skills and technical leadership.
Spatial & Conceptual design knowledge.
Strong focus on product cost.
Must be a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Top Candidates will have:
Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent engineering degree, along with demonstrated experience in applying engineering principles to solve complex challenges. Candidates with a proven track record of success in engineering projects are encouraged to apply.
