Here at Head Medical, we seek Consultants within General Paediatrics interested in working in the region of Western Australia . The paediatric departments in rural WA manage a wide range of cases, from general paediatrics to neonatal and developmental care. As a Consultant Paediatrician, you will lead the delivery of inpatient and outpatient paediatric patient services, often collaborating with Clinical Nurse Specialists in Paediatrics through outreach services to ensure consistent, high-quality care across regional centres.

The state's varied landscape comprises seven distinct regions, each offering unique lifestyle advantages alongside delivering vital healthcare services. Consultant Year 1 to 9 - South of 26th Parallel - $375,863 to $473,828

Consultant Year 1 to 6 - North of 26th Parallel - $514,413 to $611,183

Essential to apply

Applicants should be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent as an overseas trained specialist who has completed their training in either the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA (ABIM certified) or New Zealand.

Experience in teaching and training of undergraduate medical students and postgraduate Hospital Medical Officers and Registrars.

You must have highly developed communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills with a commitment to clinical governance within healthcare.

Significant experience in rural and remote paediatric medicine provision and a sound understanding of remote area health service provision is desirable.
