We have a new opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join our market leading General Insurance practice in Melbourne, working with a highly regarded Partner and team of lawyers.
This role will predominantly involve handling public liability (personal injury) claims and we are looking for a lawyer with solid experience in this area of practice.
The General Insurance team advises on and manages a diverse portfolio of claims for many Australian and international insurers and underwriters, Government departments and public sector entities and self-insured corporations.
Our team routinely handles claims that are complex, technically challenging and high profile.
Our team in Melbourne is part of our national General Insurance practice - a collaborative, collegiate and high performing team.
About you
You will ideally have the following skills and experience:

Between 2 and 5 years of post-admission experience in defendant insurance law;
We are open to hearing from candidates from a plaintiff background;
Experience managing personal injury claims from end-to-end;
Strong technical ability and attention to detail; and
Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
