The Role
As an MLOps Engineer at Heidi, you'll be instrumental in scaling and securing our AI infrastructure, focusing on the deployment and operation of our machine learning systems in a highly regulated healthcare environment.
You'll work closely with our engineering team to build and maintain robust, compliant infrastructure for our AI-powered healthcare solutions.
What you'll do:
Design and implement secure infrastructure for hosting LLM services and speech-to-text solutions across AWS and GCP environments
Lead the deployment and management of containerized ML services using Kubernetes (EKS/GKE)
Implement and maintain monitoring systems for ML model performance and ML infrastructure health
Establish and enforce security best practices and compliance requirements for healthcare AI systems
Collaborate with ML engineers to support deployment of ML models and services and optimise ML pipeline efficiency and reliability
Design and implement disaster recovery and high availability solutions for ML services
Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and other modern DevOps tools
Key Requirements:
Strong experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS required, GCP beneficial)
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, preferably EKS or GKE
Understanding of ML/AI deployment challenges and solutions
Experience with implementing security controls and compliance requirements
Knowledge of monitoring and observability practices for ML systems
Strong networking and infrastructure security background
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with LLM deployments and optimisation
Healthcare industry experience
Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform)
Experience with speech-to-text services
Understanding of HIPAA or similar healthcare compliance frameworks
Experience with high-availability architectures
