About This Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Drama based within the School of Communication and Arts. In this role, you will contribute to the development and delivery of our teaching programs in Drama at undergraduate and honours levels. Teaching in the School will require collaboration with colleagues, and industry and professional bodies.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Teaching: Develop innovative curriculum design and pedagogy, deliver online learning and blended teaching methods, coordinate courses, assess students, provide academic counselling, and adhere to university teaching rules.

Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.

About You
Completion of a PhD or equivalent in Drama, Theatre Studies, or a closely related field.

Evidence of high-quality university teaching in Drama across a variety of settings, including small and large groups with course coordination responsibilities.

An emerging profile of teaching impact in Drama and/or emerging profile in education research in the discipline and/or emerging research profile with high-quality outputs in the discipline.

Participation in projects that improve curriculum, pedagogy, or assessment practices of others, with funded projects being particularly desirable.

Participation in curriculum development at the program and/or course level in the Drama area.

Evidence of the involvement in the supervision of honours and Research Higher Degree students (where appropriate) in education research.

Well-developed communication, interpersonal and consultative skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in teaching and learning.

A profile of professional expertise that complements and/or supplements the expertise that currently exists within the School and the broader University.

The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check and education check.
