Management AccountantManagement Accountant required for a well-regarded, international technology business based in South Melbourne.Your new companyThis is a global technology and telecoms business based in South Melbourne, who are looking to recruit an experienced Management Accountant for their finance team.
The business has a worldwide presence, and a well-known client base of major brands and organisations across a range of industries.
The business offers good career growth and development opportunities, along with interesting work.Your new roleThis role will see you take on a mix of financial and management accounting work, along with project finance and wider planning and reporting.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Reconcile financial accounts, ensuring accuracy in bank, credit card, and petty cash records.Compile and analyse monthly revenue and management reports.Review and correct general ledger reconciliations for month-end reporting.Compare aged receivables in Xero and Echelon, and manage collections.Process payroll for the USA fortnightly and UAE monthly, ensuring compliance.Prepare and submit accurate quarterly VAT/BAS reports.Verify and summarise sales team commissions for CFO approval.Compile annual financial statements and coordinate audits.Collaborate with the CFO to enhance financial processes and profitability.What you'll need to succeedIn order to be considered for this role, you will be a CPA qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years experience in industry working for a reputable organisation within a finance team.
You will have a good understanding of accounting principles and software (with Xero being highly advantageous), along with being a strong communicator, good time management skills and attention to detail.
This role is based in South Melbourne 5 days per week, so an ability to travel to the office is essential.
