Fugro-Geoteam AS - Payroll Officer

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join our team, working in a diverse project delivery environment, based in West Perth.

This role offers a rare and unique window of opportunity to shape the position and working pattern in a way that suits you personally. This can be discussed during the initial screening conversation.

Reporting to the Payroll Team Lead, responsibilities include:

• Fortnightly and monthly payroll preparation for around 700 employees
• Working with third party payroll company, ADP
• Collation and interpretation of time sheeting systems
• Understanding and applying multiple EBA's
• Month end reconciliation of payroll tax, PAYG, superannuation and other deductions
• Managing new starter set ups, termination processes and leave approvals
• Responding to general payroll queries and supporting the wider team as and when required

This role forms part of our wider HR team, which includes three payroll, two recruitment and five HR colleagues.

About You

The key to succeed in this detail oriented, impactful role is your collaborative, friendly and proactive attitude. We are looking for:

• Proven ability to focus on process with high attention to detail that delivers accurate payroll outcomes
• Ability to use initiative, challenge the status quo and maintain a high level of confidentiality
• In-depth Excel skills, including Pivot tables, V Look-up and more
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize workloads and maintain flexibility.

Extra things we value:

• Tertiary qualification in Payroll or Accounting (desirable)
• Experience managing a diverse, project delivery payroll (desirable)
• Experience using ADP (desirable)
