Support ASIC teams to achieve regulatory and financial outcomes for First Nations consumers.
12-month temporary role - Darwin location.
Salary from $123,444 - $144,386 (depending on experience) plus 15.4% superannuation.
The key duties of the position include:

Identifying problems, analysing information related to First Nations consumers engagement with the financial system, and considering strategic, innovative, and future-focused approaches.
Leading research, assessment, and critical analysis of information.
Leading policy review and implementation of future policy directions and reforms.
Preparing detailed reports, papers, and submissions on a broad range of strategic legal, policy, and technical issues involving the interpretation and implementation of laws administered by ASIC.
Leading projects to encourage systemic market change in urban, remote, and regional areas.
Successfully cooperating and influencing others to achieve a common goal.
Identifying and coordinating communication opportunities focused on financial wellbeing messages for First Nations audiences.
Establishing and maintaining local information networks and developing relationships with key stakeholders.
Undertaking outreach and engagement activities in urban, regional, and remote locations with specific objectives relating to the IOP's function.
About you:

Bachelor's degree in Law, Commerce, Economics or a related discipline.
Experience in a corporate, legal, or regulatory environment.
Experience analysing factual and legal issues, undertaking relevant research/enquiries and problem solving to provide appropriate recommendations.
Experience engaging with First Nations consumers, advocates, and communities.
Experience communicating with diverse audiences.
Experience establishing, developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision and be accountable for outcomes.
Hold a current driver's licence.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.
Note:
This position requires travel to remote and isolated communities with limited facilities, including medical facilities.
You must be physically capable of carrying out the inherent requirements of the position, including travelling long distances by 4WD and undertaking relevant health and safety courses, including first aid and 4WD training.
ASIC may request evidence of this capability from time to time by means of a medical examination.
