About the role

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Business Analyst serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving the successful implementation of AI solutions to meet organizational goals. This role involves understanding business needs, identifying opportunities for AI-driven innovation, defining requirements, and ensuring that AI projects deliver measurable business value. The AI Business Analyst combines analytical thinking, domain knowledge, and a solid understanding of AI technologies to align technical capabilities with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Needs Analysis
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify challenges, inefficiencies, and opportunities where AI solutions can add value.
  • Conduct detailed analyses of current processes, systems, and workflows to define business requirements for AI-driven transformation.
  • Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements for AI initiatives.
• AI Opportunity Assessment
  • Evaluate potential AI use cases, conducting feasibility studies to prioritize initiatives with high business impact.
  • Assess data availability and quality to determine the suitability of AI solutions for specific business needs.
  • Identify metrics and KPIs to measure the success and ROI of AI projects.
• Collaboration with Technical Teams
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Work with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and developers to ensure AI models and systems meet business objectives.
  • Collaborate on model training, validation, and deployment to align technical outputs with business needs.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
  • Communicate AI concepts, project progress, and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Develop and deliver presentations, reports, and visualizations to showcase the value of AI solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather input and align stakeholders on project goals.
• Project Management Support
  • Support project planning and execution, ensuring timely delivery of AI solutions that meet defined objectives.
  • Monitor AI project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to gather feedback and measure the effectiveness of AI solutions.
• Research and Innovation
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in AI technologies, tools, and trends to identify potential applications for the business.
  • Benchmark AI strategies and implementations against industry standards and competitors.
  • Propose innovative ideas to leverage AI for competitive advantage and operational efficiency.

Essential requirements

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. A Masters degree or certification in AI, Data Analytics, or Business Analysis is a plus.
• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years focused on AI, data analytics, or machine learning projects.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering AI-driven initiatives that address business challenges.
• Strong understanding of AI concepts, machine learning workflows, and data analytics.
• Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies (e. g. , SWOT analysis, gap analysis, process mapping).
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e. g. , Tableau, Power BI) and basic data querying (e. g. , SQL).
• Knowledge of AI platforms and technologies (e. g. , TensorFlow, Azure AI, AWS SageMaker) is an advantage.
• Excellent documentation skills for writing clear and concise business and technical requirements.
