WA College of Agriculture - Cunderdin is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) offering a variety of nationally accredited certificate training courses in modern workshops with industry standard equipment and facilities.
We provide Year 11 and 12 students with a unique educational experience focused on innovation and excellence and was recently named a finalist in the 2024 WA Education Awards for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.

Our College is conveniently located adjacent to the Wheatbelt town of Cunderdin, 160kms east of Perth.
Subject to eligibility, subsidised GROH housing may be accessible.

We are seeking a teacher who is student and relationship focused, enthusiastic and innovative with the capacity to provide engaging, relevant, and meaningful learning experiences while catering for diverse student learning needs.
The successful teacher will work in a fully equipped state-of-the-art trade training centre with comprehensive and up-to-date facilities and equipment.

The role of Teacher - Design and Technology at Cunderdin is to design, prepare and deliver quality training programs and assessment strategies in Building and Construction to year 11 and 12 students.
Our staff are highly motivated and committed people who are keen to engage and mentor their students, ensuring they are developing knowledge and skills and are fully aware of course requirements, timelines and resources.

It is desirable (but not essential) that the successful applicant have experience in the delivery of VET Certificate courses and hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, but the College will support the successful candidate in gaining one should they not already have it.
It is highly desirable for applicants to possess industry currency in Building and Construction with the capacity to deliver industry-standard training, but again, not essential.

Mobility appointments for permanent, metropolitan and south west teachers

Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position.
At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role or transfer permanently into this school.
