What you'll be doing

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead and System engineer. A leader with an enthusiastic sense of customer support, you will need to communicate and coordinate with clients as well as other technology groups in a complex and highly governed environment.

The role will involve:

• Provide Technical leadership for the team.
• Delivery of technical support for the client/server environment.
• Ensure timely resolution of teams tickets against SLA.
• Ensure backups and disaster recovery meet requirements.
• Ensure Patching and upgrades meet the clients requirements against the contracted SLA's.
• Liaise with service providers to investigate and resolve issues with supported infrastructure and applications.
• Mentoring of staff and enabling them to succeed.

• Based in Symonston, ACT
• Australian Citizen with NV1 Security Clearance

What will make you successful in this role?

• Ability to communicate often complex concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Experience support Windows Server including DNS, AD, Group Policy, Print Management, File Services, DHCP.
• Experience in RedHat/Linux systems.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare.
• Experience with enterprise storage such as NetApp.
• Experience with Data protection technologies such as Veeam, Commvault.
• Experience with patching Windows systems via MECM.
• Understanding of Azure/AWS and cloud concepts.
• PowerShell Scripting for automation.
• Ability to mentor staff.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), VM Ware Certified Professional (VCP), ITIL).
