As our Technical Executive/Senior Principal Engineer - Overhead Wiring (OHW), you will enhance your capabilities and the reputation of WSP's renowned national Rail team.

Based in our offices in Brisbane, you will be our most senior OHW lead in Queensland, collaborating with a wealth of talented professionals, whilst working on truly iconic projects - further strengthening our OHW offerings for projects both locally and nationally.

Our Transport and Infrastructure team leverages a collaborative approach, the latest technology, and a culture of innovation across the planning, design, and management phases to deliver sustainable connectivity, mobility, and resiliency to Australian communities.

You will be taking a leading technical role for Overhead Wiring design not only in Brisbane, but you will help shape OHW nationally for WSP!

You will also be tasked with mentoring and developing more junior engineers, ensuring that we are cultivating and supporting our Engineers of tomorrow.

A full position description is available on request, but a snapshot of your day-to-day will look like (but not be limited to):

• Being a technical, passionate and influential leader, proactively maintaining effective networks and relevant industry relationships to gain cooperation in meeting business and client outcomes.
• Complying with all role-specific HSEQ obligations.
• Establishing project OHS&E objectives and targets.
• Promoting the continual improvement of best practice OHS&E and Quality systems and behaviours.
• Coaching others in the identification and management of ethical issues associated with the area of work or practice area.
• Providing technical review of work performed by the team.
• Providing expert technical input to a diverse range of projects in line with WSP quality system and client requirements.
• Mentoring junior engineers in technical, project delivery and client relationships.
• Providing expert input to pursuits and proposals.

You're likely to be a proven leader in Overhead Wiring and Safety in Design with extensive years of proven experience (at Senior Engineer level as a minimum).

You have knowledge of establishing project quality and risk management systems, project communications integration systems and have a solid understanding of contracts and commercials as related to project delivery.

In addition, you are:

• RPEQ qualified (or eligible to be so)
• Bachelor's degree (Engineering) or Equivalent
• Have Queensland Rail design and checker competencies
• Have proven and extensive experience in Overhead Wiring at Principal Engineer level or above, ideally at Consultancy level.
