Ortech Industries is an Australian-owned company established in 1985, which manufactures Durra Panel, Durra Steel Sections, and Durra Panelised Building Systems at its production facility located in Bendigo Victoria.

We're looking for a dedicated individual who preferably has a mechanical trade background with extensive Machine Operation experience, and who is a natural leader and thrives in a team-oriented environment.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to work with team members in achieving successful daily production requirements.

The position will be attached directly to the Maintenance Department and will see alternate basic Maintenance duties carried out within such role.

About the role:

• Extensive experience in the operation of large production machinery and equipment.
• A strong mechanical aptitude with preferable trade qualifications.
• Attention to detail that will guarantee production is manufactured within specified quality standards.

Crane Operator / Yardman - Yellow Iron Fleet - BENDIGO based

This exciting opportunity will appeal to a seasoned CO operator / Yardman who is looking for that next challenge in their career and ready to be a key member of the Yellow Iron Fleet business.

To be the successful candidate you:

Must have High Risk Ticket at least 3 years relevant, sound experience within our Industry as an open ticket operator.

• A current Crane Operator Ticket Minimum CO
• Must have a HR truck licence
• Must have Working at Heights
• Must have a Construction White Card
• Musthold a current Drivers Licence
• Musthave a commitment to zero harm in the workplace and act in a safe manner at all times
• Must pass a full pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening
• Must be willing to undertake yard work, help keep the yard tidy and undertake maintenance.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Operate water and/or wastewater treatment plants, providing drinking water for our community and also treating wastewater for the benefit of our environment
• Ensuring our equipment is maintained according to schedule and carrying out a range of tests and analysis on our biochemical treatment processes.
• Taking pride in our workplace and helping to maintain site security and a safe workplace.
• Utilising remote asset performance systems (e.g. SCADA etc) to help keep our plants doing what they do best
• Getting your hands (gloves) dirty in assisting with the minor maintenance of our pipes and pumps, our valves and other fascinating mechanical moving parts at the treatment plant site.
