Leverage your experience to create lasting impact both within and beyond the University.The Associate Lecturer, Primary Education will work in the School's Primary initial teacher education (ITE) undergraduate and postgraduate programs.Minimum RequirementsThe successful candidate will possess broad knowledge and experience in the field of Primary Teacher Education.
The successful candidate will hold current or recent accreditation as a teacher and/or have extensive experience in primary education.
The role will also provide an opportunity to work with colleagues to advance the Fair Go program which focuses on equity, social justice and supporting pedagogical change.To be successful in the role, you will need to demonstrate excellence in teaching and a high level of energy and commitment to further developing a research profile that is fresh and relevant to the particular discipline.We are looking for individuals who bring energy, enthusiasm, and a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching.
You will have the opportunity to develop your research profile and actively contribute to School and University governance activities.This is a full-time, ongoing position based at Western's Bankstown City Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required.Eligibility RequirementsTo be eligible for this role, you must provide evidence that you:
have been engaged as a casual academic for at least 2 teaching sessions within the previous 2 years at an Australian Higher Education institution; andhold, have submitted all requirements for, or has made substantial progress toward completion of a PhD in Education or other relevant Level 10 AQF qualification; andhave not previously held an ongoing position with an Australian Higher Education provider in the previous 3 years.Candidates must submit evidence of the above requirements and any evidence of their teaching performance, such as Student Feedback on Teaching survey outcomes, at the time of application.How to ApplyThis is your opportunity to make a difference at Western Sydney University.
