But you have choice in where and how you work; we trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.What you'd be doing in this roleAI Media team owns Ingredient Generation Service (IGS) which powers a number of AI products in GenAI group.
A senior engineer is needed to continue evolving the service into a mature platform in order to meet the growing needs of teams shipping AI features.
This role will be responsible for architecture, implementation, and operation of the service/platform.Above all, you will be a technical leader; the platform powers a myriad of Canva features and is loved by millions worldwide.
We lay strong groundwork, enabling our product teams to continually innovate, bringing the latest and greatest in AI models and techniques to everyone.At the moment, this role is focused on:
Lead design and development of the Ingredient Generation ServiceKey contributor to the overall strategy of ingredient generation capabilities at CanvaEnsure the platform scales as Canva ships more AI productsKeep the platform healthyMentoring of junior team membersYou're probably a match ifYou have commercial experience in a software development environment, building and operating scalable backend systemsYou have experience designing platforms that cater for multiple consumers with varying requirementsMost of our code is in Java, so ideally you will be comfortable using JavaYou are comfortable and enjoy working collaboratively with team members and communicating optimallyYou have good writing and verbal communication skillsAbout the teamWe allow users to use the latest AI technologies to generate the perfect elements for their design.
