Responsibilities

• Provides expert clinical care in ophthalmology with a focus on corneal conditions and diseases.

• Demonstrates advanced surgical techniques in performing cornea transplant surgeries.
• Provides excellent pre-and post-operative care for patients undergoing cornea transplants.
• Works closely with other ophthalmologists and healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
• Participates in departmental and hospital-wide meetings and initiatives.
• Mentors and supervises junior medical staff, including residents and fellows.
• Keeps abreast of the latest advancements and developments in the field of ophthalmology and implements them into clinical practice.
• Adheres to hospital policies and procedures in regard to patient care, ethical standards, and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Ophthalmology.
• Fellowship training in Cornea Transplant.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Consultant Ophthalmologist, with a focus on cornea transplant.
• Excellent clinical and surgical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
• Must be Western-trained.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
