Which is why we're searching for a new Restaurant Host/Hostess confident in delivering unforgettable experiences through a warm welcome, inspired recommendations and seamless service from starter to dessert and beyond.A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:
Ensuring that SOP basic standards are adhered to achieve the level of service established in the Departmental Operations Manual.Taking care of all restaurant bookings and preparing special requirements accordingly.Assigning table seating as per the reservation list to subordinates and checking their performance periodically.Welcoming and greeting guests as per the service standards.Escorting and providing buffet orientation, recommending food and beverage choices to guests.Assisting in maximizing the restaurant revenue by active social media marketing.Handling restaurant mise-en-place such as preparing buffet tags, printing menus, and other administrative tasks required for restaurant daily operations.Assisting in controlling the requisitioning, storage, and careful use of all operating equipment and supplies.Attending daily briefing with the colleagues on preparation, service and menu.Liaising with the supporting departments on daily operation and quality.Carrying out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities assigned.Attending all training sessions/programs that are requested by the Hotel's Management on Food Safety, Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.What We need from you:
2 years related experience in the same role in a 5-star luxury hotel or resort.A naturally outgoing and friendly personality with a passion for service excellence to consistently deliver and demonstrate InterContinental service standards.A true 'team-player' mentality and flexible attitude towards a diverse set of tasks.Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays.Great communication - you'll be warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to; English is a must, another language will be an advantage.What you can expect from us:
