Our client is among the most highly respected conglomerates in the Middle East, their portfolio of companies are responsible for managing well established multinational brands across several industries including automotive, real estate, logistics, building industries and interiors/fit-out. They are looking for Senior Estimator to join their fit-out team in Dubai. Reporting to Estimation, you will be responsible for:
Taking a tender from start through to finalization.
Acknowledging the tender, booking in the tender documents, and checking the documents for missing scope.
Marking up the enquiries to be sent out for quotation and ensuring this is done quickly.
Selecting suitable subcontractors for the works taking into consideration volume of work and location.
Inputting the BOQ onto Causeway and setting up the job ready to price.
Contacting the key supply chain contractors to discuss the project and any technical issues.
Carring out bulk measures checks and picking up any scope missing in the BOQ and ensuring this is incorporated into the price.
Visiting site and carrying out a site report summary of access/egress locations for the site establishment and understanding logistically how the project will be run.
Distributing any addendum information to the relevant sub-contractors.
Raising tender queries to the consultants where necessary.
Compiling the prelims book with input from the production team on suitable staffing levels.
Analysing the quotations and preparing a summary report of all the quotations received.
Evaluating the H&S obligations and ensuring we price the job accordingly.
Settling the tender with the Estimating Manager & Pre Contracts Manager.
Producing a list of tender clarifications for submission.
Finalising the price and submitting the tender on time. Arranging courier if necessary.

Education & Training:
Bachelor Degree in Civil or Architecture
Advance Diploma/ Diploma/Certificate in Quantity Surveying/ Building or Equivalent
Technical Requirements:
Minimum 5 to 8 years in Estimating
Familiarity with Interior fit-out project or architectural finishes
Good understanding of construction techniques and methodology/sequence of works
Managerial Experience:
Ability to delegate work to Measurement team
Ability to manage others assigned to the bid (Planner / Projects Manager) for input
Key Skills:
Good command of English- written and spoken
Preferably Arabic speaker
Able to work independently with minimum supervision
Efficient time management skills
Computer literate in Excel and Pricing Software
Good communication skills
Methodical manner of working logically through the tender process
