OPD Nurse

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Out-Patient Team for one of our Medical Centers managed by Gargash Hospital.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assessing patient needs, planning, implementation, and evaluation of a program of care which is evidence-based utilizing all available resources taking into consideration the lifestyle, gender, and cultural background and ensuring involvement with the patient, family, carers, and significant others.
• Ensuring that all patients and their families feel cared for and cared about.
• Organize own workload to ensure that the interests of the patients are met.
• Maintain patient records in line with Hospital guidelines for records and record keeping.
• Work within the Health & Safety Guidelines and Procedures.
• Empower patients to take responsibility for their health, well-being, and future lifestyle by practicing in an open, transparent, and inclusive manner, thereby ensuring patients have the relevant information to participate in decisions about their care.
• Assist in reviewing and developing new policies and procedures.
• Assist less experienced colleagues in planning, priority setting, and decision making to ensure that they meet patient's needs.
• May also act as link nurse for areas such as Education, Quality, Infection Control, Moving & Handling.
• Contribute to the provision of an appropriate learning environment.
• Act as a role model for less experienced members of staff by representing the values and beliefs of the nursing profession as well as that of the organization.
• Provide encouragement and motivation to members of the nursing team.
• Take account of the role and competency of staff when delegating work.
• Participate in personal development planning and formal/informal appraisal of junior nursing staff and student nurses.
• Participate in the development and implementation of the nursing philosophy and objectives of the team.
• Continue to develop leadership skills and provide leadership when required.
• Contributes to and influences practice development within the clinical area.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited Nursing program of a minimum duration of three (3) years or Bachelor degree in Nursing.
• Current valid registration in the country of training and/or country of last employment (Desirable).
• 4-5 years of experience in a hospital/clinical setup.
• Arabic speaking would be an added advantage.
