Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Database Engineer to join our team. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant role, with a proven track record of developing and maintaining robust database systems.
Salary: $25,000 USD per year.
Responsibilities:
Design, construct, install, test and maintain highly scalable database management systems.
Develop database schema and document processes.
Work closely with developers to optimize system performance and ensure seamless integration of new project features.
Implement measures to safeguard sensitive data.
Perform troubleshooting and correct database issues with fast turnaround.
Develop and manage effective data models to store and retrieve data.
Evaluate existing database systems to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements.
Implement backup and recovery processes.
Liaise with data scientists and leverage database systems to optimize data retrieval and analysis.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Engineer or similar role.
Familiarity with blockchain and distributed ledger technologies.
Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases, data backup/recovery, and performance optimization.
Knowledge of various database systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and others.
Proficient understanding of database structure principles.
Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude.
