Chief Financial Officer - CFO with German language proficiency

For one of our customers, a Dubai-based company in the real estate tech sector, we are hiring a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with German language proficiency.

To provide strategic financial leadership and management, ensuring the financial health and growth of the company through effective budgeting, financial planning, and risk management; ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements while optimizing capital structure and driving profitability.

Outcomes:

Financial Strategy & Planning :

Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy that supports the company's growth and global expansion goals, ensuring a minimum of 15% annual revenue growth.

Budgeting & Forecasting :

Deliver monthly forecasts report to executive team.

Maintain variance of less than 10% between forecasts and actual performance.

Capital Structure Optimization :

Lower cost of capital by at least 5% within the first year.

Profitability Management :

Ensure EBITDA margins are improved by at least 10% year-over-year.

Cash Flow Management :

Maintain at least 6 months of operational liquidity at all times.

Deliver & maintain cash flow risk-management & continuity plan within first month of each book year.

Deliver quarterly update on the above plan to the executive board.

Compliance & Reporting :

Ensure 100% compliance with all financial audits by end of Q1 of each book year.

Risk Management :

Deliver & maintain overall financial risk-management & continuity/mitigation plan within first month of each book year.


Team Leadership & Development :

Build and lead an A-player finance team, ensuring 90% retention of top finance talent, and deliver internal succession plans for key finance roles every 6 months.

Source at least 2 A-player profiles for our talent pool per month.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant certifications (CPA, CFA) is preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership position such as CFO, Finance Director, or equivalent.

Proven ability to align financial strategies with overall business objectives, ensuring long-term financial sustainability and growth.

Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and leveraging financial data to inform decision-making and strategic planning.

Strong capability to identify financial risks and implement effective mitigation strategies to safeguard the company's financial health.

Demonstrated experience in securing funding, managing investor relationships, and effectively communicating financial performance to stakeholders.

In-depth understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence across all operations and accurate reporting.

Proven ability to drive cost-saving initiatives and enhance operational efficiencies to optimize the company's financial performance.

Strong leadership skills to build, mentor, and retain a high-performing finance team, focusing on succession planning and professional development.

Capacity to respond swiftly to financial challenges with a proactive problem-solving approach and flexibility in adjusting strategies as needed.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial information in an understandable manner to stakeholders at all levels.

Familiarity with financial software and tools, and a strong understanding of data analysis techniques and technologies.

Proficiency in English; fluency in additional languages, especially German, is a plus.
