Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries, ensuring a positive experience.
Provide information about products, promotions, or store policies when necessary.
Handle customer complaints or concerns in a polite and professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Transaction Handling
Process customer payments through cash, credit/debit cards, or other payment methods accurately.
Scan and itemize products, ensuring prices are correctly entered and all discounts or promotions are applied.
Provide correct change or receipts to customers and ensure accurate record-keeping of transactions.
Cash Management
Keep track of cash flow during shifts, ensuring cash registers are balanced at the end of each transaction.
Reconcile cash drawers, report any discrepancies, and ensure proper deposit procedures are followed.
Maintain an organized and clean checkout area, including handling of cash, credit slips, and receipt paper.
Product Handling and Sales
Help restock items, organize merchandise, and maintain a tidy store environment.
Assist in inventory control by reporting low stock or damaged items to the management team.
Upsell or cross-sell products when appropriate, providing customers with relevant suggestions or promotions.
Safety and Compliance
Follow all company procedures and policies, including handling sensitive payment information securely.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, especially in handling cash and customer interactions.
Monitor the register area for potential theft or security concerns, alerting management as needed.
Store Support
Assist with opening and closing procedures, including checking the cash register and ensuring all funds are secured.
Support the overall store operations, including assisting with other duties when the store is less busy (e.g., cleaning, restocking).
Assist in maintaining the appearance of the store by ensuring the checkout area is neat and organized.

Qualifications
