PURPOSE OF JOB
The purpose of the F&B Shift Leader role is to oversee daily operations in the food and beverage outlets, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high standards of service quality. The F&B Shift Leader is responsible for supervising the team, managing shifts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and operational procedures. This role contributes significantly to the hotel's reputation and revenue by fostering a welcoming environment and providing effective leadership.
MAIN DUTIES
Shift ManagementLead and supervise the F&B team during assigned shifts to ensure smooth operations.
Implement opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and inventory checks.
Ensure all team members adhere to company policies and safety regulations.
Guest Service ExcellenceDeliver outstanding guest service by engaging with customers and promptly addressing any issues or complaints.
Monitor service quality and ensure that the guest experience meets or exceeds expectations.
Team Leadership and TrainingTrain, mentor, and develop team members on service standards, menu knowledge, and operational procedures.
Conduct team briefings to communicate shift objectives and expectations clearly.
Foster a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
Quality and Standards ComplianceEnsure that all food and beverage service areas are clean, organized, and stocked appropriately.
Monitor food and beverage presentation, quality, and compliance with health and safety standards.
Verify the proper application of menu pricing and special event pricing.
Inventory and Order ManagementAssist in managing inventory levels, placing orders, and checking deliveries.
Conduct regular checks to ensure that all supplies are available for service.
Sales and Revenue PromotionPromote F&B offerings and encourage suggestive selling by team members.
Collaborate with management to develop and implement promotional strategies to drive sales.
Internal Controls and ComplianceImplement and monitor internal controls for cash handling and revenue collection to prevent fraud.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards in all F&B areas.
Reporting and DocumentationPrepare daily reports on sales, guest feedback, and operational issues for management review.
Document and report any incidents or discrepancies to ensure accountability.
Collaboration with DepartmentsWork closely with kitchen staff, front office, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Participate in cross-departmental meetings to enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
Micros POS System KnowledgeUtilize Micros POS system for order processing, billing, and reporting effectively.
Train team members on the use of the Micros system to ensure accurate transactions and record-keeping.

JOB SPECIFICATION
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field is preferred.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English is required.
Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in food and beverage operations or similar role.
• Experience with Micros POS system is essential.
Skills:
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
• Al-Ayn: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
