Solution Architect

Overview:

A Solution Architect designs and integrates complex systems to solve specific business or technical problems using advanced technologies. They collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, create detailed architectural plans, and ensure that solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned with organizational goals. Additionally, they provide guidance on best practices for deploying and managing AI and HPC solutions, ensuring that the architecture supports both current and future needs.

Objectives of this role:


Align architectural solutions with business objectives, ensuring they address specific problems and add value to the organization.
Develop robust and scalable system architectures that can efficiently handle large-scale AI and HPC workloads.
Ensure that the systems are optimized for performance, leveraging advanced computing resources and algorithms to meet high-speed processing requirements.
Integrate diverse technologies and platforms to create cohesive solutions that align with the company's goals and technical requirements.
Design systems with high availability, reliability, and security to protect sensitive data and maintain operational integrity.
Work closely with stakeholders, including engineers, data scientists, and business leaders, to gather requirements and ensure the solution meets their needs.
Oversee the implementation of architectural solutions, providing guidance and support to development teams to ensure successful deployment.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and HPC technologies to recommend and incorporate cutting-edge solutions.
Manage Risks:
Identify potential risks in system design and operation and develop strategies to mitigate them. Ensure that solutions comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices for data management and computational processes.

Key Responsibilities:


Develop and document detailed system architectures that meet the specific needs of AI and HPC applications.
Provide technical guidance and expertise to development teams, ensuring that solutions are implemented according to architectural plans.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements, translating business needs into technical specifications and design solutions.
Design systems and workflows to maximize computational efficiency and performance, ensuring optimal use of resources.
Oversee the integration of various technologies and components to create a cohesive and functional system.
Develop and evaluate prototypes or proof of concepts to validate architectural approaches and technologies before full-scale implementation.
Identify potential risks related to system design and deployment, and develop strategies to address or mitigate these risks.
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Required skills and qualifications:


A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is typically required. Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure AI 900, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Data Engineer) can be advantageous.
5+ years of relevant experience is required, including roles in software engineering, systems architecture, or specialized in HPC (High-Performance Computing) solution, Data Enablement, Cognitive Services.
Familiarity with cloud platforms and services.

Preferred skills and qualifications:


Strong understanding of AI and HPC technologies, including hardware (like GPUs, CPUs, and networking) and software (like machine learning frameworks, parallel computing, and data management solutions).
Knowledge of current trends in AI and HPC, including emerging technologies and industry applications.
Ability to plan, execute, and manage complex projects, including scope, timelines, and resource management.
