We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual with exceptional communication skills who prides themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of service and provide creative solutions.

As a Director of Research & Development, you will be responsible for providing market research and due diligence support for the Research and Development Department.
Your role will include key responsibilities such as:

Conducting market research and compiling market intelligence for regions of interest according to the development strategy.
Maintaining information on current market trends and hotel performance within specific markets, regions, and destinations, as well as on the expansion of competitor hotel chains.
Assisting in compiling, updating, and prioritizing a list of target markets for development and monitoring relevant industry trends.
Participating in implementing the strategic business plan to grow the company's presence in target markets.
Assisting in evaluating new hotel projects and conducting preliminary reviews of the market, potential performance, competitors, and other relevant information.
Assisting in the negotiation of commercial and legal terms of new hotels and in drafting management and related documents.
Preparing analysis and presentations for various committees related to the development department, as well as necessary documents for the development committee.
Providing direct support in relation to special projects within the development department.
Preparing regular reports and analysis on the department's performance (monthly/quarterly reports, status reports, etc.) and updating material, presentations, and documentation as required.
Collaborating with other departments like legal, finance, and technical for effective completion of tasks and establishing a strong network of contacts with industry players including consultants, financiers, developers, and tourism authorities.
Attending relevant hospitality events and maintaining a high profile within the industry in the region.

Skills

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should hold a bachelor's degree in business administration or hospitality management and have a minimum of three years of work experience where research and development knowledge and new business acquisition experience are advantageous.
You must be computer literate with excellent presentation skills and effective communication skills, both written and oral, with proficiency in English and preferably Arabic.

Knowledge & Competencies

The ideal candidate will be courteous, able to work with minimal supervision, discreet, and capable of dealing with a high level of confidentiality.
An extremely proactive and switched-on person with an outgoing, charismatic, and approachable character, who works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and is a key team player with a concern for quality.
You should perform tasks with a high degree of perfectionism while being adaptable to changes.
