• Having experiences handle a Camp for Military / Army in Afghanistan or Pakistan
• Having background from military is a must (prefer Pakistan Army or Military)
• Fluent in English, Pashto, and Hindi
• Familiar with Computer software and report, with administration experiences preferred
• Work location in Abu Dhabi

A Camp Boss is responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of a camp, typically in remote locations such as construction sites, oil rigs, mining camps, military bases, or large-scale field operations. The Camp Boss ensures that all aspects of camp life run smoothly, from logistics and accommodations to catering, safety, and personnel management. Their role is critical in maintaining the well-being of all camp residents, whether they are workers, contractors, or military personnel.

Here are the key skills and responsibilities of a Camp Boss :

• Leadership and Management Skills
  • Team Management :
    Leading and managing the camp staff, including cooks, cleaners, security personnel, and other support staff.
  • Decision-Making :
    Ability to make quick, effective decisions regarding operational issues, emergencies, or personnel matters.
  • Conflict Resolution :
    Addressing disputes among camp residents or between staff members in a diplomatic and professional manner.
• Logistics and Operations Management
  • Resource Allocation :
    Ensuring that resources (food, water, supplies, equipment) are efficiently allocated and replenished.
  • Scheduling and Planning :
    Organizing shifts for staff, meal plans, supply deliveries, and any special activities or needs for residents.
  • Inventory Management :
    Keeping track of stock and supplies, including food, cleaning materials, and safety equipment, and ordering replacements as needed.
  • Site Maintenance :
    Overseeing the maintenance of camp facilities (e.g., tents, buildings, restrooms, kitchens) to ensure they are in good condition.
• Health and Safety Management
  • Compliance with Safety Standards :
    Ensuring that the camp adheres to health and safety regulations and industry-specific standards (e.g., OSHA for construction camps, health codes for food service).
  • Emergency Preparedness :
    Developing and implementing emergency response protocols, such as evacuation plans, medical emergencies, fire safety, or severe weather.
  • First Aid and Medical Knowledge :
    Basic first aid skills and familiarity with medical procedures in case of injury or illness within the camp.

• Camp Operations Management
  • Daily Operations :
    Overseeing the daily running of the camp, ensuring that everything is in order, from accommodation to meals and supplies.
  • Logistical Coordination :
    Coordinating the transport and supply chain to ensure that all necessary materials, food, water, and equipment are available and delivered to the camp on time.
  • Staff Supervision :
    Supervising the camp staff (e.g., cooks, cleaners, security) to ensure efficient operations and that staff are performing their duties effectively.
• Accommodation and Welfare
  • Living Conditions :
    Ensuring that the living conditions are comfortable, safe, and conducive to the well-being of all camp residents.
  • Resident Support :
    Addressing any concerns or complaints from camp residents and ensuring their needs are met in terms of food, accommodation, and safety.
  • Amenities Management :
    Ensuring that all essential amenities (e.g., toilets, showers, sleeping areas) are clean and functioning properly.
• Health and Safety Oversight
  • Compliance with Regulations :
    Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations, including fire safety, sanitation, and emergency protocols.
  • Incident Management :
    In the event of an emergency (such as an accident, injury, or fire), the Camp Boss manages the situation, coordinates with emergency services, and takes appropriate action.
  • Safety Checks :
    Regularly inspecting the camp for safety hazards, maintaining fire extinguishers, emergency exits, and first aid kits.
• Food and Catering Management
  • Meal Service :
    Managing the food services, ensuring meals are nutritious, well-prepared, and served on time.
  • Dietary Restrictions :
    Accommodating special dietary needs, allergies, or religious restrictions for camp residents.
  • Supervision of Kitchen Staff :
    Ensuring kitchen staff maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety.
• Budgeting and Financial Oversight
  • Cost Control :
    Monitoring the budget for the camp's operations, ensuring that costs are controlled, and supplies are procured efficiently.
  • Expense Approval :
    Approving invoices, checking receipts, and managing financial transactions related to camp operations.
