Assistant Manager Finance

Roles and Responsibilities

• Liaise with Finance Manager Budgeting for budgeting, pricing & costing assignments.

• Assist in preparation & finalization of project control budgets.

• Coordinate with operations team and allocate budgets to GLs as per approvals from management.

• Critically analyze the cost elements for all projects before budget numbers are locked and uploaded in SAP.

• Upload finalized control budgets on SAP for actual vs budget comparisons and take required approval.

• Collaborate with ERP team for budget uploads and ensure all reporting requirements are met.

• Monitor the creation of project internal orders and maintain as per operations requirements.

• Oversee budget issues faced by all sites including head office.

• Support finance manager for finalization of annual budgets for upcoming years.

• Resolve and review the PR & PO related queries from GL selections to cost center.

• Create new cost centers based on management approvals and ensure initial budgets are uploaded.

Fixed Assets:

• Create asset codes based on approved project budgets and company policy.

• Prepare the required schedules for fixed assets for audit purpose and monthly closing.

• Reconcile fixed assets with physical counts and ensure compliance with fixed assets policy.

• Create, transfer, and dispose fixed assets in SAP based on relevant approval.

• Supervise annual physical count by coordinating with operations teams and ensuring SAP is matched with TAGIT and physical count.

Budgetary Coordination with HR:

• Supervise backfill requests for new hirings and amendments for professional and technical staff.

• Monitor the creation of new budget IDs and upload of approved CTCs in SAP and reconciliations.

• Correspond with HR for all budget related queries and ensure compliance as per HR policy.

• Supervise any amendment to CTCs based on management approval.

Monthly Closing:

• Perform accounting duties and support junior staff as required or assigned.

• Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.

• Finalize month end revenue and cost accruals for subcontractors and ensure they are in line with project control budgets.

• Finalize month end accruals for transportation, inventory & other accruals.

• Support month-end and year-end close process.

• Liaise with the Finance Manager to improve financial procedures.

• Provide monthly project wise actual vs budget report.

• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts and undertake variance analyses.

Other Services:

• Ensure timely completion of financial surveys (SCAD).

• Document and monitor internal controls in support of auditing team and address internal audit queries.

Information Security Responsibilities:

• Comply with Khidmah Information Security Policies.
• Be aware of and fulfill their information security responsibilities.
• Ensure whoever handles sensitive company information has taken the Security Awareness Training.
• Know how to report a security incident (to IT ServiceDesk or InfoSec).
• Not disable his/her OS firewall and/or antivirus.
• Restrict use to authorized purposes, protect access accounts, privileges and associated passwords.

Accept accountability of his/her individual user accounts, and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in finance or any related and/or professional qualification in finance or any related field.
• Industry Experience (No. of years): 8+ years of experience.
• Position/Functional Experience (No. of years): 3+ years of experience.
• Competencies and Skills: Strong financial analysis skills, growth mindset, ability to work with little or no supervision, working knowledge in SAP.
